The knockout
The ten ranked players then went into a knockout of best-of-three series of 9-point matches. The higher a player finished in the ranking, the later he entered the draw. The two halves of the bracket were:
- 10th v 7th; the winner plays 6th, then 3rd, then 2nd, and the survivor reaches the final.
- 9th v 8th; the winner plays 5th, then 4th, then 1st, and the survivor reaches the final.
The winner of the final earned a place in the Grand Final at the end of the year, where the Club Champion is decided.
